A-23 is deflagged inbounds short of the line-to-gain on 1st down with 1:24 remaining in the 4th period. With the play clock at 5 seconds on the 2nd down, the back judge announces the game clock is at 1:24.
The Referee may correct the obvious timing error, because it was recognized prior to the 2nd live ball following the error. The play clock shall be reset to 25 seconds, the game clock shall be reset to 1:04, and the Referee may use their discretion to start the game clock on either the ready for play or the snap.
